Heavy Timber Brackets, typically in the form of a diagonal support member extending from a column or wall to a horizontal beam, such as the bottom chord of a truss or lateral support beam are also supplied by SWC. Like Corbels and Rafter Tails, these can be supplied in a variety of sizes and profiles, constrained only by the size of available timbers. Heavy Timber Brackets are frequently sized with a thickness matching the columns or beams to which they are attached. The brackets are sometimes purely decorative, but many times also provide lateral structural support to a perpendicular joint of some type. Counter-sunk lag screws are typically utilized to attach the Heavy Timber Brackets.
